Escape From Goshen
A reimagining of the Old Testament for Young Readers

IN TWO WEEKS, LEAH AND JACOB WILL BE SLAVES TO PHARAOH.

Only a miracle can save them now.

Two more weeks of freedom. Two more weeks of playing in the Nile and helping their grandmother in the house. Two more weeks of Hebrew lessons and learning the ways of their people before they, too, face the blazing sun and the taskmaster's whips.
But one night an old man with an odd name - Moses - comes to Goshen. Strange things start happening. Has God remembered His people at last? Or will Moses be a washout as a redeemer, just like all the others?
  Imagine yourself in ancient Egypt.

A NOTE TO PARENTS:
ESCAPE FROM GOSHEN is a historical novel for young readers based on the Bible story of Exodus. Using scientific theories about the historic validity of the Bible as well as archeological evidence about daily life in ancient Egypt, ESCAPE FROM GOSHEN recreates what life might have been like during the period of Israelite slavery described in the Old Testament. The novel incorporates recent scientific research into possible natural causes for the Ten Plagues and the Crossing of the Red Sea (with links to articles on the "Research" page). It also deals with questions about divine providence and morality.
